I first met Carol in in 1959 when I moved to Fremont and had her for swimming class in junior high school. Subsequently she and John became good friends with my parents so I and my brothers Fred and Jim saw them regularly for social gatherings and vacation time. I remember going to see Carol during her pregnancies with the boys when she had months on end of bed rest to insure safe deliveries. I watched them grow up and played with them so many times. Eventually I moved to Cincinnati but always came back to Fremont to see my family and always stopped to visit Carol. We would have lunch or tea and talk for hours catching up on old times and new times. She came to visit me in Cinci too, just not enough. She never forgot a Christmas card or birthday card. Neither did I. We talked often on the phone, as if we lived near each other. The last time I saw her was my 50th high school reunion in October of 2015. It was a grand occasion and she looked smashing. I was supposed to see her the week before passed away. It wasn't meant to be. We had 58 glorious years of friendship, the memories of which I shall treasure forever. Lin
