Obituary for Carol G. Dixon

Carol G. Dixon, 81, of Franklin, IN, formerly of Fremont, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin, Indiana.
She was born April 8, 1934 in Martinsville, IN to Leon Gray, M.D. and Muriel (Tabor) Gray. She married John D. Dixon in August 1959 in Martinsville, IN. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1996. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School and DePauw University. She had been an English teacher at Fremont Junior High School in Fremont, Ohio for 25 years. She was a member of Hayes United Methodist Church in Fremont, Ohio and a volunteer for the Hayes Presidential Center. She also enjoyed volunteering at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, and was active in Community Theater and the Beautification Committee in Fremont.
Survivors include two sons, David Dixon (Allison) of Greenwood, IN and Mike Dixon (Michelle) of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren Matt Dixon and Alex Dixon both of Greenwood, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Gordon Gray. A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Carol's home from 12 Noon till 3PM in Fremont, Ohio.
