Moving Force in My Life
First your father, John was my very first Boss at Grund Drugs. That is when I discovered your Mom was his wife.
I had known Mrs. Dixon as an educator. She was strict but also had a heart of gold. As I began my journey as a mom and wanting to support AFS, she was there for all exchange students in Fremont. The tour of homes was one of you mom's projects that I had the opportunity to work with her, side by side. Then when I decided to host a student the support was always just a phone call away.
In all I hosted 5 students from all over the world. However, my first son came to us from Colombia, and came back and married our daughter. Carol was there for him as he could not work until all paperwork was in place so she had him do odd jobs for her so that he felt useful to his newly acquired wife. She always had time to chat, wherever our paths crossed. I will miss the smile and support she gave everyone she met. God has gotten a loyal squire to help him now.
