Buzz was as genuine a friend as I ever had. He lived life to it's fullest to the last minute. There was never a man that loved his wife and kids any more than Buz. He was so proud of Carol and his Marine sons. They and those grand-children were so special. Buzz was a giver. New kids would get hired at Bob Evans and some would have no money for work clothes. Buzz would go to Goodwill on his break and come back with clothing they could work in. I saw this happen numerous times. Buzz had a special tenderness for the young soldiers coming in to eat at BE. Buzz would often pick up their check and treat them to a meal. He was always giving at legends Golf Course. Kids would be trying to learn the game and he would give them golf balls, tees and whatever he could come up with. Franklin has lost a very good man here. When he was laying in that hospital bed with death awaiting him any day, he seemed as though he was planning his birthday party. He knew the Lord and knew that it was his time. He wore his smile right to the end. He was a great example for the rest of us. RIP Buzz!
