Dana C. (Strawn) Neal, 88, lifelong resident of Frankfort, Indiana passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at Sheridan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sheridan, Indiana. She was born July 18, 1922 in Clinton County, Indiana to Chester Strawn and Ruth (Scott) Strawn. She married Frederick W. Neal on September 20, 1942 at her parent’s home in Kirklin, Indiana. She was a 1940 graduate of Kirkland High School and attended Indiana Business College. She was an avid collector of Fenton Glassware. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and for many years, every Saturday she would bake pies and cookies. She was a dedicated worker. She was a former member of the Kirklin Presbyterian Church, Frankfort Moose Lodge American Legion Post Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald L. Neal (Jean) of Midland, Georgia and Thomas A. Neal (Debra) of Noblesville, Indiana; a daughter, Judy Tracy (Andy) of Noblesville, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Strawn (Patsy) of Frankfort, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Dorothy Price.
The Reverend Mark Spaulding will conduct a service at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Church of Praise, 18686 Eagletown Road in Westfield, Indiana. Friends may call Tuesday from 12 Noon until service time at the church. Burial will be in Scott Scircleville Cemetery in Scircleville, Indiana on State Road 28.
