Lillian E. (Burns) Witter 82 of Franklin, IN, formerly of Lake Mary, FL and Indianapolis, IN, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community. She was born June 21, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Robert Lee Burns Lillie Mae (Arnold) Burns.
She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN and a graduate of Indiana Business College. She retired as an executive secretary for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN in 1993 after over 30 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Mary, FL, the Red Hat Society in Lake Mary, and active in The Forest in Lake Mary, FL. She enjoyed crafts and playing games. She married Chauncey D. Witter and they had three children, Rod Witter (Pam) of North Augusta, SC, Carol Naragon (Dave) of Greenwood, IN, and Jeff Witter (Cathy) of DeBary, FL, youngest brother Jerry Burns of Indianapolis, IN; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
The Reverend Marion Glover will conduct a service Monday, October 30, 2017 at 12 Noon at the Wright Chapel of Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community, 1070 West Jefferson Street, Franklin, IN, with visitation from 10AM till service time.
