Eugene Squires 72 of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Greenwood Meadows. He was born April 14, 1945 in Sullivan, Indiana to Stocklin and Susie (Brinson) Squires. He married Charlotte J. (Gray) Squires on April 14, 1973 in Indianapolis, IN., she survives.
He had been a self-employed professional painter for many years, and previously a painter for Duke Homes in Bargersville. He enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his grandsons. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte J. (Gray) Squires of Greenwood, IN., a daughter Amber J. Miller of Greenwood, IN., two grandsons Gage R. Miller and Gavin W. Miller both of Greenwood, IN., a sister Carol Sigler of Bradenton, FL., brothers Henry Squires of Florida and Terry Squires of Anderson, IN., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stocklin and Susie (Brinson) Squires, brothers Franklin Squires, William Squires, Albert Squires, Stocklin Squires Jr., sister’s Nancy Gould, Peggy Gardner, and a half-sister Anna May Sears.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 3PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
