Obituary for Donald "Don" William "Bill" Slavin

Donald “Don” William “Bill” Slavin, 70, of Bargersville, IN passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born February 22, 1946 in Beech Grove, IN to William Curtis Slavin and Ruth Marie (Kraft) Slavin. He married Terry Rose (Schmitt) Slavin on June 1, 1968 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, IN, she survives. He was retired from Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN after over 30 years of service. He was a former member of the Bargersville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed trap shooting. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Terry Rose (Schmitt) Slavin of Bargersville; son Gregory A. Slavin of Bargersville, IN; grandson Anthony E. Coe serving in the United States Army in Georgia; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Michelle M. Coe on July 30, 2015.
The Reverends Ken Rickett and Roger Gifford will conduct a service on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4-8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN. Memorial contributions may be to First Christian Church, P.O.
