She graduated from Butler University, with a B.A. (and later an M.A.). She married Robert R. Ludlow, of Indianapolis, IN on June 21st, 1951 in Oswego, IL. Besides helping others, Ellen loved gardening (especially roses), walking, genealogy, golfing, reading, traveling, and recently writing and watercolors.
Ellen’s first love was family and friends. She was always quietly thoughtful, kind, considerate, and generous. She emanated peace for all of us lucky enough to spend time with her. A lifelong learner herself, she shared her joy of learning and books with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ellen’s legacy will be her quiet kindness and gentle smile that filled our hearts with love.
