Obituary for Delpha B. Holland (Ferguson)

Delpha B. (Ferguson) Holland, 82, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her residence in Franklin, IN surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 6, 1936 in Red Boiling Springs, TN to Lucian and Dessie (Copass) Ferguson. She married Elder Lewis Holland on August 25, 1956 in Macon County, TN, he preceded her in death on October 26, 1999.
Delpha was a loving and devoted homemaker who opened her doors with hospitality to all. She was a charter member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Bargersville, IN. Her faith in the Lord was unshakeable and she spent her life in service to her Savior, church and her family. She truly believed in loving thy neighbor and treating others as it was their last day. Her love for gospel and bluegrass music was second to none. Her light hearted spirit and wit brought smiles and laughter to all those around her.
Survivors include her daughter Karen R. Mobley (Kelly) of Franklin, IN; grandchildren Brianna Dulworth (Craig) of Franklin, IN, Brandi Reed (Marty) of Franklin, IN, Dereck Mobley (Tiffany) of New Whiteland, IN, Chelsi Harper (Chris) of Franklin, IN; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Edwin Ferguson (Judy) of Indianapolis, IN, Nina Carter of Lafayette, TN, Clarence Ferguson (Lorinda) of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Randall Ferguson (Mary Anna) of Lafayette, TN, Joe Ferguson of Lafayette, TN, and Neil Ferguson (Melinda) of Lafayette, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary L. Holland, daughter Rita D. Kolp, and granddaughter Bridget L. Froedge, siblings Fred Ferguson, Ruby Deckard, Floyd Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Harold Ferguson, Jesse Ferguson, and Blanch Tuck.
Elder Dereck Mobley and Elder Richard Jenkins will conduct a service on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1PM at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 4121 West Whiteland Road, Bargersville, IN 46106. Friends may call Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2PM till 8PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and Monday from 11AM till service time at the church.
