Obituary for Blake Coryell
Blake Coryell, 31, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019. He was born December 10, 1987 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. He was a 2006 graduate of Center Grove High School and a 2018 graduate of IVY Tech Community College in Bloomington, IN.
Blake enjoyed four wheeling, basketball and football, the Colts, Pacers, and Notre Dame Football, traveling, and attending musical festivals. He has enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother Michele Ann (Davis) Coryell and stepfather Michael R. Schmoll, both of Franklin, IN; his maternal grandmother Jeraldine King and step-grandfather John King of Greenwood, IN; stepsisters Savannah Schmoll and Emily Schmoll both of Greenwood, IN; uncles and aunts Tony Flynn and Brenna (Dorsey) Flynn of Franklin, IN; Andy Coryell, Doug Coryell, and Mimi Simms; a half-sister Larissa Murphy; paternal grandmother Sue Hughes; paternal step-grandmother Paula Coryell; and his beloved dog Flapjack.
He was preceded in death by his father Michael Coryell; maternal grandfather Milt Davis; paternal grandfather Douglas Coryell and an uncle Danny Phelps.
Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf will conduct a service on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 4-8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
