Obituary for Deloris Parker (Gibson)
Deloris (Gibson) Parker, 90, lifelong resident of Franklin, IN went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Compass Park in Franklin, IN. She was born September 24, 1928 in Franklin, IN. She married John Parker on August 24, 1945 at the family farm, he preceded her in death on October 28, 2003.
She was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. She farmed alongside her husband in Franklin, IN and was a very hard working farm wife where she accepted the duties of farm life. She was very active in the Jollity United Methodist Church. She loved playing cards, sewing, gardening, cooking, and being with family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Hannah Parker Vornehm (Mick) of Franklin, IN, and Sharon Parker Shepard (Ron) of Franklin, IN; five grandchildren Cara Baker (Kye) of Bargersville, IN, Christa Rinehold (Tim) of Franklin, IN, Leann Lamb (Joe) of Franklin, IN, Brian Shepard of Franklin, IN, and Jason Shepard of Franklin, IN; ten great-grandchildren Kyra Baker, Kyan Baker, Brandon Wagner, Nick Wagner, Brodie Rinehold, Sophie Rinehold, Samantha Shepard, John Shepard, Parker Shepard, and Payton Shepard.
She was preceded in death by her father Mose Gibson and her mother Gaynelle (Dennis) Robinette.
Reverend Dr. Steven L. Sorensen will conduct a private graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
