Samuel W. Goodman,76, of Franklin, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community. He was born September 2, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to Samuel Thomas Goodman and Margaret M. (Kramer) Goodman.
He was a graduate of Corydon High School and was a graduate of the University of Evansville and the University of Missouri. He had worked for the Indiana State Republican Party for several years. He was a United States Army Veteran having been stationed in Africa during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 355 in Indianapolis, IN. He enjoyed watching movies, reading, and history.
Survivors include his mother Margaret M. (Kramer) Goodman of Greenwood, IN; a sister Marilyn Preddy (Jim) of Greenfield, IN; four nieces and nephews Kim Harmon (Chris) of Indianapolis, IN, James Preddy (Leslie) of Greenwood, IN, Charity Crago of Pendleton, IN, and Nikki Harrison (Mark) of Indianapolis, IN; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Stevie Marie Wilson, Trevor Preddy, Paige Preddy, Celia Crago, and Jacob Crago.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The Reverend Stan Icenogle will conduct a graveside service Saturday January 12, 2019 at 1PM at Poseyville Cemetery in Poseyville, IN. (2PM Franklin time) with the military honors to follow by the United States Army Honor Guard.
