Obituary for Cynthia Jo Alvey

Cynthia Jo Alvey, at the age of 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN.
Cindy touched so many lives during her journey with pancreatic cancer and she knew God’s plan was perfect. Everyone she met was touched by her smile, laughter, and her faith in Jesus Christ.
She was born in Franklin, IN on February 10, 1954 to Leonard and Ethel (Keaton) Alvey. Cindy graduated from Center Grove High School in 1972, then moved to the southern California coast for 35 years where she was a Trade Show Manager for the Medical Device Industry and a Deacon of Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. She left many friends to return to Indianapolis to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by both her father and mother, she is survived by her brother Steve Alvey and his wife Kathy of Dahlonega, Georgia, her sister Carolyn Schultz of Trafalgar, IN., her brother Dennis Alvey of Nineveh, IN., and a sister Elizabeth Alvey of Greenwood, IN., 6 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many wonderful friends.
A celebration of life service will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 4:00PM at Mount Pleasant Christian Church 381 North Bluff Road, Greenwood, IN. 46142, where friends may call from 2:00PM until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to the Franciscan Health Foundation 5255 East Stop 11 Road Suite 245 Indianapolis, IN. 46237 attention Franciscan Hospice House in memory of Cynthia Jo Alvey.
