Robert L. "Bob" Ellett Jr.
Robert L. “Bob” Ellett, Jr., 53, of Trafalgar, Indiana passed away peacefully Monday, June 20, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born June 1, 1958 in Franklin, Indiana to Robert L. Ellett and Kathleen (Oates) Ellett. He married Sharon (Hoskins) Ellett on October 27, 2000 in Franklin; she survives. Bob was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He became a printer at the age of 15. He owned Franklin Printing Service and PDQ Printing in Franklin for twenty years. He was a member of the Franklin Elks #1818 and Franklin Masonic Lodge #107. He enjoyed writing and recording music, playing guitar, fishing, gardening, canning, inventing, and being around family, friends, and making people laugh. Bob and Sharon both fostered over 500 dogs since 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Hoskins) Ellett of Trafalgar; two children, Melinda Hatfield of Franklin and Matt Burton of Trafalgar; four grandchildren, Danielle McClarnon (Devin) of Greenwood, Indiana, Luke Hatfield of the United States Marine Corps (Angi) in Beaufort, South Carolina; Amanda Hatfield of Greenwood, and Jessica Schoettner (Ethan) of Franklin; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Schoettner, Khristian Schoettner, and Karolina Hatfield; his parents, Robert L. Ellett, Sr. and Kathleen (Oates) Ellett of Franklin; three siblings, Pam Spencer (Rick) of Fountaintown, Indiana, Phillip Ellett of Yangon, Mynamar, and Larry Ellett (Lynne) of Mundelein, Illinois; his mother-in-law, Ruth Hoskins (Robert, deceased) of Franklin; three nieces, Lindsay Meador, Molly Ellett, and Kaitlyn Ellett; three great nephews, one great niece, and seven dogs.
Franklin Masonic Lodge #107 will conduct a service Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 7 P.M. with a memorial service immediately following and conducted by the Reverend Cleon Wright at Swartz Family Community Mortuary And Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. Thursday until service time at the mortuary.
