Condolences

Condolence From: Peggy Bastin Davis
Condolence: Reverend John Cheeseman was a very special mentor and friend as well as our family's minister in Martinsville for many years. He helped to start a wonderful youth singing group called the Soul Searchers. While ministering to others in our church, community , and other cities, we all grew in our faith. This was attributed to John Cheeseman being a wonderful, fun loving, and faithful teacher of God's word. He remained a faithful friend and spiritual power in our life as he was there for the death of my grandmother and mother, married my sisters and myself, as well as christening my son. I will forever remember him and the many ways he ministered to our youth and help get me started on my spiritual journey. I love you Reverend Cheeseman. I still see you smiling.

Condolence From: Stephanie & Dave Gaylor
Condolence: We are so sorry for John's passing but know now that he is at rest from these recent very tough years on him. We'll always attest that at all of our family get-togethers, especially Thanksgiving, John was one whom we always looked forward to seeing there, for he was the family's gatherer for prayer, and always went out of his way to see how you were doing. He also joined us in marriage as a gracious co-leader of the service with Fr. Heindle...and made our ceremony so very special. We will miss him very much. May God give you, and the family, peace, Alberta. As always, we are here for you. Much love.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Cheeseman and family, I remember your husband and father coming to GVS for Sunday Vespers. I heard several people lost their jobs at the pavilion after we left. You were certainly caring and devoted and I hope you are well and will be able to pick yourself up after all the strain. Cassy is so good to me and I am so thankful to be with her. Our deepest sympathy. Sincerely Ola Miller

Condolence: John and Karen, WE know this has been a long struggle for all of you. From the little I knew of your father, it was apparent He was a good man that lived a wonderful life. It is satisfying to know that he is now with the lord. Smitty and Barbara

Condolence From: Rev. Yung S. Chen and family
Condolence: Dear Alberta and family, We grieve with you with John's passing and wish we could be there today to celebrate his wonderful and blessed life. More importantly, we celebrate his presence in heaven with Jesus Christ and all the people he helped bring to our Lord and Savior through the wonderful ministry you all served. From our time together in the EUB church through the merger as United Methodist's, I personally have wonderful memories of John and you serving together in the North and South Indiana conferences. Please know that we will be thinking and praying for you and your families today and may God continue to bless you all. "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand". In Christian Love, Rev. Yung S. Chen and family (Paul Chen, Grace Walker & Peter Chen)
