Doretta "Dottie" Yeager (King)
Doretta "Dottie" Yeager, 83, died in her sleep Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. She was a resident of Bargersville, Indiana.
She was born May 2, 1926 in Salem, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris A. King and Georgie E. (Hisey) King, and by her sister, Jacqueline (King) Ferguson. Dottie's husband, Martin Yeager, died in January, 1989.
Survivors include her brother, Boyd A. King; and two daughters, Debra M. (Sevenish) Reed of Bargersville and Dena K. Evans of Greenwood.
Dottie loved her daughters and saw life largely through their eyes.
She loved working in her yard and on her house. She also loved dancing and singing perfect harmony in the kitchen, as did her mother, having friends over to visit and vacations at the beach. She read God's word and was a diligent study.
Dottie worked many years at Wm. H. Block Company and later at Johnson Memorial Hospital (in 1985), retiring in 1988.
She most recently was surrounded by her daughters, her brother and his wife, nieces, great-nieces, her nephew, her son-in-law, other family and friends, and caring medical staff.
The Reverend John Eley will conduct a funeral service at 1 P.M. Friday, February 19, 2010 at Wright Chapel of Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W. Jefferson Street in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 A.M. until service time at the chapel. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
