Obituary for Lee Patrick Mowan

Lee Patrick Mowan, 76, of Greenwood, IN, formerly of Nineveh, IN and Ft. Wayne, IN passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at his residence in Greenwood, IN surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 2, 1942 in Ft. Wayne, IN. to Leon L. Mowan and Margaret Ann (Leslie) Mowan. He married Susan “Sue” (Britton) Mowan October 31, 1964 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Ft. Wayne, IN, she survives.
He was a graduate of Central Ft. Wayne Schools. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had worked at Navistar in Indianapolis, IN for 27 years as an electrician and previously at International Harvester in Ft. Wayne. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, IN. and Franklin American Legion Post 205.
Survivors include his wife Susan “Sue” (Britton) Mowan of Greenwood, IN; four children Kevin P. Mowan of Martinsville, IN, Kelli Conner (Robert) of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Mowan (Amy) of Ft. Collins, CO, and Dean Mowan (Susan) of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren Jessica Mowan, Sergeant Adrienne Mowan (fiancé Mario Jeri), Bailey Billman (Ethan), Brandon Conner, (Gracyn) Nicholas Conner, Hunter Mowan and Rylee Mowan, three great-grandchildren William Billman and Archer Bende and Dean Jeri; a sister Linda Miller (Gary) of Ft. Wayne, IN; three brothers Michael Mowan of Ft. Wayne, IN, John Mowan (Cindy) of Ft. Wayne, IN, and James Mowan (Elaine) of Ft. Wayne, IN. and 15 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Stephan Mowan, a sister-in-law Cheryl Mowan, and one niece and one nephew.
Monsignor William Stumpf will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial that will take place at 11AM, February 23, 2019 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1008 McLary Road, in Nashville, IN where the family will receive friends from 10 AM till service time. The United States Navy Honor Guard and the Brown County Honor Guard will follow the service with military honors. A celebration of Lee Patrick Mowan’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 3PM with a gathering of friends and family at The Reserve at Timbers Edge Club House, 880 Ravenwood Drive, Greenwood, IN.
