Obituary for Edward Harry Hult

Edward Harry Hult passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 24, 2018 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, IN.
He was born on July 16, 1920 in Burlington, IA to Harry Herman Hult and Nelly Gertrude Hult (nee Kelly).
He is survived by his two sons, John Clinton and Richard James; two step-daughters, Kathy McMillen and Kim Thompson; and by eight grandchildren as well as ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Edward Harry, Jr.; his two wives H. Clare Chenoweth (nee Blake) and Marjorie Ann Hult (nee Williams); his two brothers Richard and James and his sister Alice.
Edward was a traveling salesman retiring in 1986 from Anderson Box Company, a subsidiary of Inland Container Corporation.
He was a passionate lover of life and all things that life presented to him. A wonderful father and grandfather, a deeply religious man, a talented musician, a world traveler, a golfer, a Mason, Shriner, Elk and Kiwanian, he lived life with a vigor and humor that endeared himself to all that met and knew him. He knew no strangers.
Edward was a veteran of World War II serving as a drill instructor for the infantry.
A memorial service will be held for Edward at the Meridian Street United Methodist Church, 5500 North Meridian Street, in Indianapolis, IN, on December 8 at 11 AM with a reception at the church after the service and the interment of his ashes at Crown Hill Cemetery following the reception.
