Joyce (McCollum) Cooper, 88, of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. She was born November 7, 1930 in West Frankfort, IL to William Eugene McCollum and Chloe Hattie Alberta (Watkins) McCollum.
She married her high school sweetheart Clyde Cecil Cooper on April 17, 1948, he preceded her in death in 2000. She had been a secretary. She loved many different things including camping with her family, reading, playing bingo, board games, and Yahtzee.
Survivors include her children John R. Cooper (Patty) of San Diego, CA, Stanley W. Cooper (Rebecca) of West Plains, MO, Patricia A. Holt (Gary) of Indianapolis, IN, and Paula J. Edmonds (Danny) of Sparks, NV; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Opal Bearden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Billy McCollum; and sisters Sharon Swafford and Beverly Forrest.
Services are private. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
