Obituary for Chad Michael Kepner

Chad Michael Kepner of Bargersville, IN. 36, met Jesus face to face on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Chad was born on December 27, 1981 to Mike and Linda (Jordan) Kepner in Kokomo, IN. They survive. Chad married the love of his life, Heather Downing Kepner, on June 10, 2006. They have two sons, his pride and joy Brayden (9) and Andrew (7). His beautiful wife and loving sons survive. Chad is also survived by his sister, Michelle Kepner Yoder (Matthew) of Kokomo, mother-in-law and father-in-law Jim and Susie Downing of Orleans, brother-in-law Chris Downing (Megan) of Brownstown, along with four nephews Collin, Eli, and Carson Downing and Macoy Yoder as well as three nieces Mayli and Makinly Yoder and Claire Downing.
Chad was a 2000 graduate of Northwestern High School in Kokomo, IN and a 2005 graduate of Purdue University. Chad was the plant and engineering manager at Form/Tec Plastics – Shields Windshields in Martinsville, IN for 13 years. He was integral in the growth and success of the Shields line. His work ethic and professionalism are unmatched.

Chad loved the outdoors and helping his sons in sports. He enjoyed hunting and loved fishing and hiking with his family. His family was his life. You rarely saw the Kepners without each other.

Chad was a member of Victory Christian Church in Franklin where he taught a Sunday School class with his wife. Chad also served and participated in church mission projects and coached youth soccer teams for the church league. He and his family was and will continue to be so well loved by their small group Bible study with their church family.
Chad was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents. Gene “PaPa” and Pauline “Mal” Jordan and Russell and Nina Kepner.
Pastor Josh Cadwell will conduct a service on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:30P.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Friday October 12, 2018 from 3PM till 8PM at the mortuary and Saturday from 12:30 P.M. till service time. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Victory Christian Church to specifically aid in their youth programs. Please make check payable to Victory Christian Church and write “Chad Kepner” on memo line. Contributions can be dropped off at the church or mailed to Victory Christian Church, 1720 N Graham Rd, Franklin, IN, 46131. Contributions to an account for the family are also being collected at any First Financial Bank branch.
