Condolence: I have few memories of Uncle Leon, but those I do have are that of a gentle soul who was a good listener and always had a story or two to tell. He will definitely be missed.

Condolence: Thoughts and Prayers are with you. Very fond memories of family gatherings that included Uncle Leon. I was not very old when I learned about the game of Whist. Leon made sure the family gatherings included at least one match. He would always say "anyone can win as long as you have 2 sure tricks and a partner"! His memory will live on and be part of family gatherings for years to come.

Condolence: Rev. Dr. Leon L. Nicholsen was a very special man, whom I was privileged to know for many years. His deep faith, keen intellect, and profound concern for others were evident in all he did and said. He was a true servant of God, and I am sure that there is much rejoicing in Heaven now that he is there and at peace with his Savior and Lord. We are all better for knowing Dr. Nicholsen and seeing his life unfold. His quick wit was a blessing. We always teased that he and Ramona adopted (figuratively) me, and I adopted (figuratively) them, and we were not sure who did that first. May Ramona and all the family experience the peace that God promises and that passes all understanding. I will miss him.

Condolence: Jack and I would like to send our condolences at this time of sorrow. We have fond memories of Leon. He was our preacher at Christ United Methodist Church. We will always be glad we got to know him. We are praying for your family.

Condolence: Leon was my senior pastor when I served as youth pastor at First UMC Sheridan while attending CTS. He modeled grace filled and effective ministry with a gentle nurturing spirit for which I am deeply grateful.

Condolence: Sending my love, hugs and prayers to all! Leon was my pastor all 17 years at CUMC and officiated at my marriage to Mel, graciously allowing us to modify the ceremony. I will always remember him with loving thoughts and a smile. May you all feel God's unsurpassable peace as you let go of this earthly presence and picture Leon in Heaven with his Lord. Amen!
