Janette L. (Richards) Lowe, 81, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Greenwood Meadows. She was born July 9, 1937 in Brown County, IN to Hubert and Esther (Poling) Richards. She married Thomas Lee Roy Lowe on July 15, 1958 in Indianapolis, IN, he preceded her in death on July 31, 2017.
She worked for Morris Plan as there she met her husband, had been a data entry programmer for Bunzl Paper Products in Indianapolis, IN and a cosmetology instructor for P J’s Beauty College in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons William D. “Will” Lowe (Deanna) of Indianapolis, IN, David L. Lowe (Kimberly) of Franklin, IN, and Stephen M. Lowe of Beech Grove, IN; four grandchildren Shawn Barger of Plainfield, IN, Angela Landrum (Shayne) of Brownsburg, IN, Corey Lowe of Terre Haute, IN, Layne Lowe of Franklin, IN; four great-grandchildren Katherine Jayne Landrum, Benjamin Landrum, Pheobe Barger, and Hayne Barger; and a sister Lilian Wicker of Plainfield, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers Henry Richards and Jerry Richards; and three sisters Eva Glassburn, Joann Sweezy, and Mary Lou Lewis.
The Reverend Cleon Wright will conduct a service Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN, where friends may call from 12 Noon till service time.
