Obituary for Pauline (Dicken) Brown

Pauline (Dicken) Brown, 80, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. She was born January 8, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky to Jimmie and Edith (Hendrickson) Dicken. She married Charlie A. Brown on May 21, 1955 in Taylor County, KY, he preceded her in death on May 8, 2002.
She co-owned and operated with her late husband, Brown’s Upholstery in Franklin, IN for 28 years. She was a longtime member of Amity Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Shelbyville American Legion Post and crocheting.
Survivors include her children Debbie York of Lawrence, IN, Jimmy V. Brown of Franklin, IN, and Jodi Miller of Franklin, IN; grandchildren Charles, Joshua, Adam, John, Kari, and Tyler; great-grandchildren Bryce, Brianna, Peyton, Aubrey, Ayden, Caydence, and Andrew; and a sister Doris Smith (Glenn) of Campbellsville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother James Dicken; and a sister Linda Spaw.
Doug Weddle will conduct a service on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN where friends may call from 11AM till service time at the mortuary.
