Dixie Carol (Garrett) Eastburn, 78, of Greenwood, IN passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence in Clark Township, Greenwood, IN. She was born January 21, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to Harry and Reka (Hofstra) Garrett. She married Ronald L. Eastburn on November 28, 1957 at Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood, IN. She was a 1957 graduate of Whiteland High School and a member of Rocklane Christian Church. She worked alongside her husband Ronald on their family farm in Clark Township. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and following her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “Disie”, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend to many.
Survivors include her husband Ronald L. Eastburn of Greenwood, IN; two daughters Apryl McClurg (Jeff) of Indianapolis, IN and Arlene Gieseking (Bob) of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren Kyle McClurg (Greer) of Indianapolis, IN; Wade McClurg (Ashley) of Indianapolis, IN; Riley McClurg of Indianapolis, IN, Garrett Gieseking (Randi) of Greenwood, IN, Grant Gieseking of Greenwood, IN and Gretchen Gieseking of Greenwood, IN; great-grandchildren Oliver McClurg, Adriane, Aubrey, Ashton, and Aaron Gieseking.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Leanne “Tommy” Garrett.
The family will receive friends for a time of gathering and sharing on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2-5 PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.
