In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Johnson County Interchurch Food Pantry and the National Kidney Foundation.
As he was a man of few words, there are fewer words yet to adequately describe the man we just lost and heaven just gained. He served his country dutifully as a Viet Nam veteran. He loved his wife and family well. He was as faithful a friend as a man ever had. He was thoughtful, but not presumptuous enough to often share those thoughts. He enjoyed rounds of golf at Deer Valley, breakfast at Desperation Depot, spending time with his grandchildren, and Saturday afternoons in his shop, watching westerns and tinkering with his latest project. Though he was simple, his impact was far from simple or small. Dad, we will miss you and are forever changed because of you.
Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.swartzmortuary.com. Information 317-738-0202.
