William Dragoo, 94, lifelong resident of the Amity Community of Johnson County passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2017. He was born February 26, 1923 at the family farm in Franklin, IN to Roy and Bertha (Richardson) Dragoo. He married Alice L. “Susie” Dragoo on March 24, 1945 in Whiteland, IN, she preceded him in death on June 17, 2015.
Bill was a lifelong farmer of the Amity community alongside his wife and son. He enjoyed eating and drinking at the Roto Grill in Amity and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son Michael Dragoo (Carolyn S.) of Franklin, IN; daughter Jo Ellen Edwards (Larry) of Franklin, IN; five grandchildren, Sheri Spall of Franklin, IN, Brandi Dragoo-Zwissler (Tom) of Greenwood, IN, Courtney Dragoo of Franklin, IN, Jenny Margason (Bill) of Greenwood, IN, and Stacey Edwards of Franklin, IN; three great-grandchildren, Robbie, Tyler, and Samantha Margason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and infant brother Harry Dragoo; brothers Oscar Dale Dragoo and Lloyd Nelson Dragoo; and two sisters Ruby Dragoo and Opal Dragoo.
The Reverend Doug Brown will conduct a service Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN where friends may call from 11AM Saturday till service time at the mortuary.
