Thomas Lee Roy Lowe, 86, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at his residence in Greenwood, IN. He was born June 14, 1931 in Bowling Green, KY to Paul Prior Lowe and Arawana (Jackson) Lowe. He married Janette L. (Richards) Lowe on July 15, 1958 in Indianapolis, IN, she survives.
He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN. He was a United State Army Veteran of the Korean War having served in Germany from 1951 to 1953. He retired from Indiana Members Credit Union in Indianapolis, IN as Vice-President of branch operations after many years of service. He previously had worked for Morris Plan in Indianapolis, IN, owned and operated Lowes Furniture, and was an insurance and real estate agent. He was a fifty year member of Brookside Masonic Lodge #720 in Indianapolis, IN, Indianapolis Valley of The Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Janette L. (Richards) Lowe of Greenwood, IN; three sons William D. “Will” Lowe (Deanna) of Indianapolis, IN, David L. Lowe (Kimberly) of Franklin, IN, and Stephen M. Lowe of Sharpsville, IN; four grandchildren, Shawn Barger of Plainfield, IN, Angela Landrum (Shayne) of Brownsburg, IN, Corey Lowe of Terre Haute, IN, and Layne Lowe of Franklin, IN; four great-grandchildren Katherine Jayne Landrum, Benjamin Landrum, Pheobe Barger, and Hayden Barger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Lowe Jr. and Donald Lowe.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin beginning with a Masonic service conducted by Brookside Lodge #720, followed by the Reverend Cleon Wright. Friends may call Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the mortuary. Burial with full military honors will be in Needmore Cemetery in Brown County, IN.
