John Paul Barnes, 53, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his residence in Franklin, IN. He was born July 19, 1963 in Franklin, IN, to John Steven Barnes and Donna Ruth (Surface) Barnes. He married Lorrie L. (Mott) Barnes on February 10, 1990 in Greenwood, she survives.
John had been an engineer designing manager for Connectronis in Edinburgh, IN for 28 years. He was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and horseback riding.
Survivors include his wife Lorrie L. (Mott) Barnes of Franklin, IN; three sisters, Deb Barnes Rode (Jerry) of Brazil, IN, Cathy Barnes and Linda Barnes both of Arlington, TX; mother-in-law Beverly White of Venus, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Steven Barnes and a sister Theresa Lynn Barnes Farr McCarty.
The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a service Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN, where friends may call from 1:30 PM Sunday till service time.
