Obituary for Wayne Stephen Euriga

Wayne Stephen Euriga, 87, of Franklin, IN, formerly of Carmel, IN, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Christina Place in Franklin, IN. He was born January 4, 1930 in Terre Haute, IN to Steve and Thelma (Rector) Euriga. He attended Moody Bible Institute. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He had been a self-employed professional painter for 60 years. He was a member of Gideons International. He attended Suburban Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN.
Survivors include his five daughters, Judy Euriga Waller (George) of Knoxville, TN, Beth Euriga White (Jono) of Knoxville, TN, Stephanie Euriga Hutson (Chris) of Greenwood, IN, Wendy Euriga Belton (Mark) of Greenwood, IN, and Lisa Euriga Mann (Rick) of Knoxville, TN; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Jean Hopkins of Nokomis, FL, and Martha Lou Jones (Edward) of Sun City, FL; and former spouse Betty Jane (Owens) Euriga of Knoxville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Phyllis Kay (Fiscus) Euriga on June 28, 2014, and a brother-in-law Davis Hopkins.
Pastor Ford Glover will conduct a service on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 4PM with military honors at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN, where the family will receive friends from 3PM till service time at the mortuary. Inurnment will be in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
