Jerry L. Morris, 83, of Franklin, IN, passed away on March 8, 2017. He was born February 23, 1934 in Knox County, IN to Virgil and Ella (Gibbs) Morris. He married Barbara A. (Scharbrough) Morris on September 11, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, she survives. He was retired as a tool and die maker and manager for Chrysler in Indianapolis, IN for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Gracepointe Church in Whiteland, IN, Franklin Masonic Lodge #107, and United Auto Workers Union. He enjoyed camping, boating, the outdoors, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife Barbara A. (Scharbrough) Morris of Franklin, IN; his children, Greg L. Morris (Victoria) of Franklin, IN, Pamela A. Kile (Jim) of Vero Beach, FL, and David A. Morris (Sharon) of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters Elaine Morris of Columbus, IN, and Anna Lea Mayher (Jerry) of Phoenix, AZ; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Leon Morris and Robert Morris.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) with Franklin, IN. Masonic Lodge #107 and Reverend Zack Scellato conducting. Friends may call Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 10AM till service time at the mortuary.
