Dr. Joseph C. Cassidy DDS, 92, of Greenwood, IN, formerly of Tell City, IN passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Rosegate Village in Indianapolis, IN. He was born May 1, 1924 in Roswell, New Mexico to Albert and May (Richard) Cassidy. He served as a medic in the United States Navy during WW II. He married Jeanette (Crook) Cassidy. He was a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Cassidy retired in 1991 from his dental practice in Tell City, IN after 39 years of service. He was an avid gardener.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Martin, Greenwood, IN; nieces, Sylvia Kolb, Evansville, IN, Dee Ann Kalb, Indianapolis, IN, Mary Rhoda Van Schepen, Manistee MI; nephews James Deutsch, Marshall, MO, Gary Cassidy, Rome, Ga; Richard A. Cassidy, Tell City, IN, Stephen Cassidy, Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter Julie Carter; brother Albert Cassidy; and sister Evelyn Deutsch.
