Obituary for John E. Ryburn

John E.  Ryburn
John E. Ryburn 81 of Trafalgar passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born September 9, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John F. Ryburn and Jeanette (Schram) Ryburn. He married Margie Katherine (Kerr) Ryburn on June 3, 1957 at Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood, she survives. He owned and operated J.E.R. Delivery Services for thirty years. He was a graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and was a great story teller and loved to laugh. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife Margie Katherine (Kerr) Ryburn of Trafalgar, five daughters Cathy J. Miller (Steve) of Indianapolis, Cherie L. Hall of Greenwood, Kim D. Egenolf (Tom) of Trafalgar, Carla J. Herberger of Ft. Wayne, and Angie D. Buchanan (Michael) of Pasadena, California, 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Virginia Hass and half-sister Jean Workman. A private family service was conducted. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin is handling the arrangements.
