Obituary for Helen L. (LeRoy) Bradford

Helen L. (LeRoy) Bradford, 89, of Greenwood, IN passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born November 15, 1927 in Cedar Heights, Pennsylvania to Bruce G. and Marie Antoinette (Dott) LeRoy. She spent her school years in Alexandria, IN, where she married Robert E. Bradford on October 2, 1947. They moved to Indianapolis, IN and raised their family. They later spent their retirement years in Hoschton, GA. Following Roberts’s death on November 2, 2010, she moved to Greenwood, IN. She was a member of Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church. She enjoyed needle-pointe, sewing, crafts, cooking, baking, playing volleyball, and especially her cars.
Survivors include her children Jeff Bradford (Donna) of Duluth, GA, Jerry Bradford (Karen) of Greenwood, IN, Matt Bradford (Ellen) of Vail, AZ, Andrew Bradford (Kim) of Asheboro, NC, Kim Clarkson (Terry) of Greenwood, IN, Kyle Ciresi (Mike) of Greenwood, IN, and Melia Schleitwiler of Dacula, GA; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, expecting three more great-grandchildren in 2017, and a sister Lillian Elizabeth Gipe of Alexandria, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Jacob Schleitwiler, a brother Alvin LeRoy; and sister Elizabeth Beatrice Malin.
Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 South Meridian Street, in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 10AM till service time at the church. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
