Marilyn J. (Hughey) Beeler, 87, of Franklin, IN passed away Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at Greenwood Village South with her loving family by her side. She was born July 4, 1929 in Franklin, IN to Harry and Lelah (Burkhart) Hughey. She married Donald G. Beeler on December 5, 1948 in Trafalgar, IN, he preceded her in death on November 16, 1995.
Marilyn was a graduate of Trafalgar High School. She retired in 1995 as activities director at the Franklin United Methodist Community where she also had been a nurse’s aide and pharmacy technician. She later worked in the cafeteria at Webb Elementary School in Franklin, IN, and also as a funeral service associate for Vandivier Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin, IN. She was a member of Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown, IN. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafts, and being with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Donna L. Manley (Ray) of Louisville, KY, Ray H. Beeler (Angie) of Chicago, IL, and Lisa A. Ellington (Doug) of Greenwood, IN; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was welcomed in heaven by her parents; husband Donald G. Beeler; daughter Joni J. Heuchan on August 29, 2011; great-granddaughter Carly Hall on April 22, 2010; and two sisters Patricia Payne and Margie Tingle, and many other family and friends.
The Reverends Larry McAdams and Jerran Jackson will conduct a service on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4-8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
