Obituary for Richard D. Waggoner

Richard D.  Waggoner
Richard D. Waggoner, 80, of Franklin, IN passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born January 11, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to Donald and Maryetta (Cole) Waggoner. He married Sharon H. (Harrison) Waggoner on May 29, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN she survives.
He was a 1954 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN and formerly attended New Palestine United Methodist Church. He had been a die cutter for Herff Jones in Indianapolis, IN for forty-seven years retiring in 2005. He was a U.S. Navy Reserve Veteran.
Surviving is his wife Sharon H. (Harrison) Waggoner of Franklin, IN; two sons, Kevin S. Waggoner (Jackie) of Indianapolis, IN and Brian Waggoner (Lisa M.) of Shelbyville, IN; a sister Judy Diane Wilson of Greenwood, IN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter Tracy Michelle Waggoner.
Services are private. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Brandywine Community Church, Attn: Jesus Love You Ministry/Homeless Ministry, 1551 East New Road, Greenfield, IN, 46140.
