Obituary for
Janis Rose Wininger (Gladish)
Janis Rose Wininger, 82, of Washington, IN passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Country Charm Village in Indianapolis, IN. She was born July 22, 1933 in Petersburg, IN. She married Franklin Nash Wininger January 21, 1950 in French Lick, IN. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2016. They were married 66 years.
Janis was a sweet, kind, and loving friend. She put others before herself and welcomed you into her home with a smile. Sweet Grandma Mimi Jan rocked grand babies and great-grand babies for countless hours and spoiled them with so much love. She was the best color-er in the family! She always had time for Bill and Cindy. She knew what they needed and was there with her support and encouragement no matter the time of day.
Janis was a wonderful wife who selflessly loved Nash with all her heart. She tirelessly was there every step of his life and through his journey with Parkinson’s Disease.
Janis was a great cook. Her family especially looked forward to her homemade noodles and pie.
She loved her Lord. She loved her family. Her family loved her. She will greatly missed, but we rejoice she has been reunited with Nash and her Lord.
