Stephen L. Dixon, 68, of Franklin, IN passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born May 19, 1948 at St. Edwards Hospital in New Albany, IN to Robert S. and Claire (Louis) Dixon. He married Becky J. (Miller) Dixon on November 3, 1973 in Indianapolis, IN she survives.
He was a 1966 graduate of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, IN. He was a 1970 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington IN. He was a member of the Valley Riders Saddle Club and he and his wife enjoyed riding in their red Corvette. He also enjoyed competing and attending car shows. He was an avid Indiana University fan especially with IU basketball. He owned and operated Central Indiana Water Services since 1999.
Survivors include his wife Becky J. (Miller) Dixon of Franklin, IN; two daughters Stephanie J. Dunn (Joey) of Franklin, IN and Stacy L. Dixon of Franklin, IN; two brothers Gregg Dixon (Janet) of Fairhope, AL and David Dixon (Denise) of Gatlinburg, TN, and two grand-dogs Cooper and Bella.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Reverend Allen Whitehurst will conduct a service Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Thursday, June 2, 2016 2-8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
