Obituary for Ronald R. Thompson

Ronald R. Thompson 49 of Morgantown, IN. formerly of Bargersville, IN., and Leitchfield, KY. Passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born November 14, 1966 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Granville R. Thompson and Brenda L. (Cornelius) Burkhart. He was a 1986 graduate of Center Grove High School in Greenwood, IN. He had worked in the facility maintenance area of Center Grove Community School Corporation in Greenwood for several years. He enjoyed fishing, especially noodling, hunting, boating, and NASCAR. Survivors include his daughter Amanda L. Hammonds (husband James Hammonds) of Brandenburg, KY., three grandchildren Hunter Humphrey, Aylin McCawley, and Scarlet Hammonds, his mother Brenda L. (Cornelius) Burkhart of Morgantown, and a sister Kelley Renae Wray (Todd) of Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his father. Services will be private. Burial will be in First Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin. Memorial contributions may be made to the SAWS Ramp Ministry in care of First Christian Church Bargersville P.O. Box 15 Bargersville, IN. 46106. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. is handling the arrangements.
