Condolence: Selma was the music teach in Beech Grove when I started teaching. She was friendly and good with the children. So sorry for your loss.

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Grant. She was such a wonderful person. My fondest memory of Mrs Grant was when she accompanied me at the state music solo contest at Butler U. Mr Grant picked out the music, Mrs Grant played the piano.
We received a perfect score.
They were two of the nicest people that I have ever known.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I still live in Beech Grove and I whenever I walk down 12th Ave I think about your family when I pass your former home: about the harpsichord in the living room, the string bass being loaded into the station wagon and some unsuccessful baking trials in the kitchen. I also remember when your mother taught part time at Beech Grove Junior High and she would bring me home whenever I became ill at school. She always wanted to help out whenever she could. Thanks for making me feel like a member of your family while living in the Grove.

Condolence: Please accept my condolences for the loss of your dear mother. I have thought of her often over the years and actually was thinking of her in the very last week. What a lovely and kind person! I always felt so comfortable when she was present. Her calmness and great sense of humor were always so refreshing. She seemed to work so quietly and effectively. She always had a kind word and a smile.

I truly consider it a great privilege to have known your mother, Selma and your father, Garrett. They are two of the finest, kindest, gentlest people I ever knew in education and they contributed greatly to the education of many students. I never heard anything but positive comments and praise about either parent. I know they raised three wonderful children, having had the privilege of having Jeff for 4 years in German and knowing Doug.

I sincerely hope the care, compassion, and concern of others will be of comfort to Selma's wonderful family!

With very deepest sympathy.

Condolence: My wife, Cindy, and I would like to express our deepest condolences after hearing that your beloved mother recently passed. I know my father, Robert, thought fondly of her, especially since they were friends and classmates while growing up in Fulton, Missouri. How wonderful that they were able to reunite at Morning Pointe before they both passed. Keep positive thoughts during this difficult time, and may the good Lord bless your family.
