Condolences

Condolence From: J. Holbrook
Condolence: 1-Year! A tuff time. Thinking of you Mike & Dave. What I recall is a lot of Carol lunches after sledding, blazing trails in the woods, riding mini-bikes, building model cars, playing football, building potato rockets, skiing on the river, and riding to school with you in the MGB. Many fond memories of your and your family, and thrilled I have them. Thank You!

Condolence From: Jason (J.) Holbrook
Condolence: Mike & Dave, I'm very sorry to hear of your moms passing. We shared so many wonderful memories as kids and neighbors, and for so many years she served as the neighborly motherly figure to us Holbrook boys, always keeping a close eye on all of us, and sharing so much love in the process. Some of my fondest memories include your family and I cherish them. My thoughts are with both of you as time heels your loss. Your Friend - J.

Condolence From: Jeff & Theresa Heaton
Condolence: We were very saddened to hear about Carol's passing, and we extend our sincere sympathies to the Dixon family. We remember Carol as a singular force, her engaging smile and laughter that took command of a room. Our friendship through Fremont Jr. High School and the AFS foreign exchange program brings to mind many fun and significant memories. Not only was Carol an inspirational teacher, but she also played a major role in AFS fundraising, specifically the tour of Fremont homes and gardens. Her cultural contributions to Fremont will be missed by many.

Condolence From: Lin Flower Evans
Condolence: As with all who knew Carol, condolences to the boys, other family members, and grandchildren. I first knew Carol as my swimming teacher in the junior high in the late 50's. Eventually she and John became very close friends with my parents, Helen and Bill Flower. They partied, vacationed together (all of us) and lived many happy years as friends in Fremont. Subsequently, Carol became one of my dearest friends. Even though I live in Cincinnati, every time I came to visit my family, she and I would get together, mostly at her house, but sometimes as a restaurant. She also came to visit me. She will be sorely missed. She was able to attend our 50th high school reunion in October. We all said she was never more beautiful. Will try to post a picture to prove the point. God bless Carol.

Condolence From: Robert Campbell
Condolence: As pastor of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, 1996-2003, I got to know and appreciate Carol Dixon. She exemplified being a Christian through her grace and humor, her insight and steadying spirit in the Church, and her commitment and service to others both in the Church and the community at large. I'm thankful for her life on earth, and for the life she will continue to live and share in heaven!

Condolence: My thoughts are prayers are with the family of Carol Dixon. She was my swim teacher back in the 60's. I never had her for English, but I remember what a wonderful teacher she was. Then only a few months ago, my daughter was her house cleaner. She always called and told me what a wonderful person she was. She also sends her condolences for Mrs. Dixon. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Condolence From: Mary Jo and PJ Foos
Condolence: To the family of Carol Dixon: The Foos family and the Fremont Community Theatre wish to send our sympathies. Carol was an energetic and enthusiastic member of our theatre. She was a great actress, and in her later years when she chose not to be on stage, she continued to actively volunteer at FCT. When we heard that she was ill, our hearts were broken. Please know that we are thinking of her children and grandchildren during this sad time. ~ Mary Jo Foos
