Virginia (Frost)  Petro
Virginia R. (Frost) Petro, 42, of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. She was born March 5, 1973 in Franklin to Hobart and Patricia “Patty” (Whetstine) Frost.
She married Kent D. Petro on October 3, 1998 in Franklin, IN, he survives. She was a 1991 graduate of Franklin Community High School and received her associate’s degree in nursing from Ivy Tech. She had been a LPN at Greenwood Village South Manor for twenty-five years. She was a member of Victory Christian Church in Franklin, IN. Virginia loved her family and had a love of all animals especially cats and birds. She had a very caring heart and loved to help others in need.
Survivors include her husband Kent D. Petro of Franklin, IN; two sons Brody D. Petro and Briker T.D. Petro, both of Franklin, IN; her mother Patricia “Patty” (Whetstine) Frost of Franklin, IN; two brothers Alen Frost (Kim) of Katy, TX and Tony Frost of Franklin, IN; a sister Teresa Crossman (Jerry) of Bargersville, IN; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jerry and Faye Petro of Franklin, IN; brother and sister-in-law Trent and Dana Petro of Shelbyville, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her father Hobart Frost; infant brother David Joe Frost; grandparents Hobart and Gertia Frost, and Lester and Rosa Whetstine.
The Reverend Larry McAdams will conduct a service Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from 4-8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Nineveh Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either; Johnson County Humane Society, 3827 North Graham Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131; or at Best Friends, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741 or at WWW.BESTFRIENDS.ORG.
