William L. “Bill” Garrison, 71, of Franklin, Indiana passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2014. Bill was born on September 23, 1943 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Lawrence “Jack” Garrison and Dorothea “Dot” (Joslin) Garrison. He graduated from Mooresville High School in Mooresville, Indiana in 1961. He proudly enlisted in the Marines in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1969 as Staff Sergeant. Bill worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield from 1969 to 1995. He left as Vice President of Government Planning. He later worked as a courier for the Material Management Department at Johnson Memorial Hospital until 2013.
He was married to Sue Ellen Breedlove from 1963-2001. They had five children: Mark Garrison of Plainfield, Indiana, David Garrison of Brownsburg, Indiana, Dee Dee Hammond (Jim) of Franklin, Kiley Garrison (Michelle) of Danville, Illinois and Aurelia (Rae) Kornbroke (Chuck) of Trafalgar, Indiana. Bill married Betty Lou (Buck) Moore in 2001. They resided in Franklin.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Ann Blaschke; and his daughter, Rae Kornbroke. His brother-in-law, Duane Blaschke, survives.
He enjoyed working outside, planting trees, traveling, and spending time with his family. Bill was a past member of the Franklin Kiwanis Club. He had a kind and gentle spirit.
