Dennis L. Zook, 72, of Franklin, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was born January 10, 1942 in Franklin to Carl and Lucille (Johnson) Zook. He married Pamela Lee (Miller) Zook who preceded him in death on March 23, 2013. He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge #107. He had been a welder for Amtrack in Beech Grove for 40 years. He also had been an electricians assistant for Dick Sledge in Bargersville for several years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved karaoke on Friday nights at the barn.
Survivors include his children Brenda Moore of Bargersville, Indiana, Alan Zook (Darla) of Waynesville, Missouri, Daniel Zook (Karla) of Trafalgar, Indiana, Kenneth Zook of Franklin, Dianna Fennell (Donny) of Massina, New York, Denise Richards (Daniel Larson) of Franklin and Jennifer Lewis (John) of Greenwood, Indiana; stepson Lee Bingham of Franklin; uncle Merrill Beezer Johnson of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; step-daughter Melody Taulman (on March 3, 2009) and brothers Jim Zook and Gene Zook.
Franklin Masonic Lodge #107 will conduct a masonic service on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 S. Morton Street (US 31) in Franklin with a service immediately following conducted by the Reverend Steve Sorensen. Friends may call Friday from 11:30 A.M. until service time at the mortuary.
