Obituary for John E. Ogden Sr.

John E. Ogden, Sr., 95, of Largo, Florida passed away May 15, 2014. He was born in Franklin, Indiana on August 6, 1918 to Joseph and Julia Ogden. He graduated from Alva Neal High School in 1936 and graduated Cum Laude from Franklin College in 1947.
John was a U.S. Army veteran and received an honorable discharge with a rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was appointed as a Special Agent for the FBI in 1947. John served as a Special Agent Investigator in the Cleveland and Philadelphia Divisions, Special Agent Supervisor in FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, and as a Special Agent Investigator and Supervisor in the Atlanta Division when he retired in 1978.
John served the State of Georgia as an investigator for the Judicial Qualifications Commission from 1978 to 1995 after he retired from the FBI.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Rosemarie Keane Ogden. He moved to Largo in 2013 to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Glen Johansen, where he enjoyed the company of his three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his son, John E. Ogden, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and his three children and three great-grandchildren.
Reverend Brian Nelson will conduct a graveside service at 12 Noon on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana with visitation from 11 A.M. until 12 Noon at Swartz Family Community Mortuary And Memorial Center, 300 S.
