Edith Yager (Ford)
Edith Yager, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born January 25, 1934 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Charles and Ruby (Gilliam) Ford. She married Paul D. Yager on August 17, 1977 in Indianapolis; he survives. She was a homemaker and had been a born again Christian all of her life.
Survivors include her husband Paul D. Yager of Indianapolis; six sons, Dale Sachtleben of Texas, Clay Sachtleben, Mark Byrd, Stanley Byrd, Paul Alan Yager, and Jeff Yager, all of Indianapolis; four daughters, Kay Mercer of Texas, Jean Sachtleben and Rose Teague, both of Indianapolis, and Joann Collins of Franklin; one brother, Henry Ford of Indianapolis; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Phil Sachtleben.
A service will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, Indiana. Friends may call Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the mortuary. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
