Obituary for Junnie Nichols

Junnie Nichols, lifelong resident of Trafalgar, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 23, 1950 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana to Edward and Margaret (Ford) Nichols. She was a 1968 graduate of Indian Creek High School, received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 1972, and her master’s degree in Library Sciences from Indiana University Purdue University Columbus in 1975. She taught 3rd and 5th grade at Nineveh Elementary School from 1972 until 1976, and from 1976 until 2010 (for 34 years) she was the Librarian for the Eminence Community School Corporation. She enjoyed attending musical shows in Nashville, Indiana. Junnie was a regular patron of the Nashville Follies and its successor shows where she had many friends, both among the performers and the audience.
Survivors include her sister Gracie Marlatt (Frank) of Rush County, Indiana; nephews Jim Marlatt (Diana) and Brian (fiancé Amy Bare), all of Rush County, Indiana; a niece, Freda Ipock (James) of Germany; two great nephews, Mason Moyes and Aaron Moyes, both of Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mr. Ivan Lancaster will conduct a service on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 1 P.M. at the Trafalgar United Methodist Church, 375 S. Pleasant Street, in Trafalgar, Indiana. Friends may call Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the church. Burial will be in Lick Spring Cemetery, 2013 S. 750 S, Trafalgar, Indiana 46181. Swartz Family Church and Chapel – Funeral and Cremation Services in Trafalgar is handling the arrangements.
