Billy A.  Quackenbush
Billy A. Quackenbush, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana and formerly of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born on August 1, 1932 in Indianapolis to Othel and Gladys (Davis) Quackenbush. He married Patricia R. (Brier) Quackenbush on July 18, 1964 in Indianapolis; she survives. He had been a tool and die maker for Diamond Chain Company in Indianapolis for 23 years. He then, with his wife, operated Quackenbush Interiors for sixteen years. He attended Southland Community Church in Greenwood. He was a United State Air Force Veteran and a fifty year member of Prospect Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife Patricia R. (Brier) Quackenbush of Indianapolis; a daughter, Michelle Quackenbush of Centennial, Colorado; five grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Quackenbush; sisters Jeanette Massey and Anna Belle Ridgeway; and his parents.
Reverend Dean Jones and Reverend Steve Schellin will conduct a celebration of life service on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7 P.M. at Southland Community Church, 5800 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, Indiana. Friends may call from 5 P.M. Thursday, July 19 until service time at the church. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, July 20 at Marion Nation Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Swartz Family Church and Chapel – Funeral and Cremation Services in Greenwood is handling the arrangements.
